IN-PERSON ABSENTEE “EARLY” VOTING 

  • Benton and Linn County voters may vote early at the Linn County Public Service Center, located at 935 2nd Street SW in Cedar Rapids, Iowa from 8:00am- 5:00pm Mondays-Fridays from August 25 - September 13. Curbside voting will be available.  
  • Buchanan County voters may vote early at the Buchanan County Court House located at 210 5th Ave NE in Independence, Iowa from 8:00am – 4:30pm Mondays-Fridays from August 25 - September 13. Curbside voting will be available. 
  • Delaware County voters may vote early at the Delaware County Courthouse located at 301 E Main Street in Manchester, Iowa from 8:00am – 4:30pm Mondays-Fridays from August 25 - September 13. Curbside voting will be available. 

ABSENTEE VOTING 
Voters may request to vote by mail. The deadline for requesting an absentee ballot by mail is Monday, August 30 at 5:00pm. In order to be counted, voted ballots must be received by the appropriate County Auditor’s Office on or before Tuesday, September 14 at 8:00pm. Ballots may be returned by mail or hand delivered. For Benton and Linn County voters, a ballot drop box will be available 24 hours a day under video surveillance in front of the Linn County Public Service Center at 935 2nd Street SW in Cedar Rapids.  Absentee ballots will be counted on Election Day for Benton and Linn County at the Linn County Public Service Center located at 935 2nd Street SW, Cedar Rapids, IA.
